FINANCIALS: Empresaria expects income, profit increases

A trading update from global specialist staffing group Empresaria suggests that the group’s full-year net fee income will be “in the range of” £57m to £59m for the current financial year ending 31 December 2021.

The group also anticipates adjusted profit before tax in the range of £7.4m to £7.9m, which according to the update is 9% to 16% above market consensus.

Other key points in the update:

  • Empresaria’s offshore recruitment services sector delivered “a record increase in billable headcount” in September. “The sector remains core to our future plans through both its external and internal delivery,” the update said.
  • Its professional sector “performed better than expected in the third quarter”, featuring a strong recovery in UK hospitality operations and “solid performance” in Asia. Challenges in the aviation industry continue, however.
  • In healthcare, the autumn Covid-19 booster vaccinations in the US have led to additional demand for Empresaria’s services.

Group CEO Rhona Driggs cited the “positive momentum” within the business and said: “I am confident that we can take advantage of the continued economic recovery to delivering long-term growth.”
