BT and Hotel Chocolat launch recruitment drives

Telecoms giant BT is recruiting for 350 new roles following a multi-million pound revamp of its South Yorkshire base in Doncaster.

The company’s centre in Wilmington Drive has undergone a major revamp in a bid to modernise the space for the incoming hires.

Following the refurb, the building now features a new café and restaurant facilities, flexible workspaces, collaboration areas, relax and refuel areas and a games area with table tennis, pool and games consoles.

Nick Lane, managing director for consumer customer services at BT, said: “We’re really pleased to be creating new, permanent job opportunities in Doncaster, a town which has suffered economically due to the Covid-19 pandemic like many others across the country.”

And national chocolatier Hotel Chocolat is to create more than 100 permanent jobs at its expanding factory site.

The firm is launching a recruitment drive to employ an extra 140 people to work at its manufacturing site in Hadley Park, Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire. The employment drive will support the site’s ongoing expansion from 45,000 sq ft to 195,000 sq ft by 2026.

The site, which produces around 250 million chocolates each year, already employs 275 people.
