Outsourced contact centre Eishtec is creating 320 jobs over the next three years with the development of a customer service centre in Craigavon, County Armagh.

Enterprise, trade and investment minister Arlene Foster and minister for employment and learning Dr Stephen Farry announced the new jobs for the Republic of Ireland-based company last week (2 April).

The new jobs will include roles in management.

Invest Northern Ireland (Invest NI) offered Eishtec more than £1.2m of assistance towards job creation and training support.

The Craigavon centre will be Eishtec’s first UK location.

In a statement from Invest Northern Ireland Eishtec operational director Colm Tracey said the impetus to set up the new service centre was due to increased demand from core client telco firm EE.

Meanwhile, another Invest NI-supported company, Client Analysis and Relationship Development, is expanding and taking on 14 staff.

The Carryduff-based firm provides hi-tech market research services primarily to the retail property sector. The new roles will be sales, research, field management and technical analysis posts.

Invest NI provided £84k in support of the new jobs.
