Ascensos creates call centre jobs at the other end of the country

Isle of Wight’s commercial staffing sector is set to benefit to the tune of 600 jobs.

The Herald Scotland reports Motherwell-headquartered call centre operator Ascensos is creating 600 jobs on the island with the opening of a new customer service centre in Cowes on the North of the Isle of Wight.

The paper adds the new facility will handle inbound telephone, email, social media and online queries with a client list that includes Argos, B&Q, Coast, Game, Karen Millen, Oasis, Warehouse and Wickes. Ascensos has taken out a 10-year lease on the property, the report adds.
