Directory enquiries firm 118 Group says it wants to build relationships with Essex-based recruitment agencies as it prepares to create 1,000 new jobs in Chelmsford next year.

As Recruiter went to press, 118 was due to hold an open day for 20 local agencies. Group director Daniel Corby told Recruiter: "With this many positions to fill we need external help, we want to harness the skills and knowledge of the agencies, and would like other interested agencies to contact us."

The positions will be 85% in sales, with the rest being in administration, finance, accounts and customer service.
