• Distribution firm CitySprint is looking to take on more than 600 couriers across the UK. The new recruits will support with ongoing logistics demand during this year’s peak season and beyond as the business continues to grow. Couriers are needed in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, Heathrow, Milton Keynes, Warwick, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Cambridge.

Deel has partnered with flexible workspace provider WeWork to offer companies WeWork All Access memberships for employees. Deel business customers can request a WeWork All Access monthly membership for their new hires when they go through the onboarding process. Deel will then manage all things workspace on their teams’ behalf from automating access requests to solving any issues that may arise.

• FDM Group, a global leader in the recruit, train, deploy sector, opened applications for summer 2023 graduates on 14 November. The graduate programme offers vocational training in roles and skills not necessarily covered by university degrees. After being trained in their chosen field or speciality, candidates are placed as an FDM consultant within businesses all over the country to kick-start their career in the technology sector.

• Workforce management company Quinyx has launched Mysaly, an app which it says will give “greater financial freedom” to users, providing instant access to wages at the end of shifts. It will reduce UK employees’ increasing reliance on payday loans which are being used to cover basic living costs. Employees can access Mysaly via an app on their phone, transferring their wages to their bank account after they have finished their shift. Money is paid to the employee from Mysaly, ensuring no impact on business accounts until the end of the month when the money is returned to Mysaly.

• Recruitment search consultancy RBW Consulting has announced that it has become a certified B Corporation. The B Corp verification process administered by the non-profit, B Lab, measures a company’s social and environmental performance. To become a Certified B Corp, companies undergo a rigorous review of the impact of their operations and business model on their workers, customers, communities, and environment, and must meet a minimum verified score on the B Impact Assessment. • A new three-year deal between housebuilder Redrow and Nottingham Trent University will put students in the front row for industry placements and future employment. It will also create opportunities for special lectures, site visits and financial support.

Redrow has committed to a range of opportunities, in conjunction with the university’s School of Architecture, Design and Built Environment, including:

  • Special bursaries to support disadvantaged students taking on unpaid work. experience and to help with cost of the job interview process.
  • The chance for students to gain first-hand exposure and valuable experience on live projects.
  • Two graduate internships with the homebuilder guaranteed per annum.
  • Priority access to Redrow’s graduate vacancies and industrial sandwich placement opportunities for third year students.
  • Various Redrow-sponsored awards to be presented during the annual award ceremonies.

Remotebase, a hiring platform specialising in finding remote developers, has launched Talently, a platform to help developers find top job opportunities. It invites tech recruiters and hiring managers to seek dedicated remote developer teams by exploring more than 60,000 pre-vetted developer profiles on the go.

• Sweden-headquartered Tengai has launched a human-like avatar interview and candidate app, which it says is more accessible and customisable for different organisational needs. The new version of Tengai is pre-tailored for efficient screening, assessing candidates' personality traits related to work performance, and has improved conversational AI to enhance the candidate experience.

The HR tech company is also offering an opportunity to sign up and become one of the first organisations to use Tengai’s new, human-like avatar for unbiased interview screening. Thales UK has announced a national partnership with Primary Engineer, an organisation that actively works to bring engineering into the classroom and inspire the next generation of engineers. The annual UK-wide initiative asks the question ‘If you were an engineer, what would you do?’ and encourages pupils to identify problems in the world and come up with creative solutions.

The competition is open to all primary and secondary schools across the UK, and looks to encourage and grow diverse young talent. Thales’ technology and engineering professionals will be on-hand to motivate pupils and help design their solutions.
