Seven (previously Sevenhr), the specialist retail and FMCG recruiter, has appointed Simon Dixon, the former head of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ UK logistics consulting team, as a director.

Dixon will be responsible for developing two new fields for Seven, namely interim andmanagement consultant recruitment.

Commenting on his appointment, Dixon says: “With talent so scarce, helping clients find theright person for the job has never been harder. Professional insight is already setting Seven apartfrom the competition and I’m delighted to be adding to that.”

Rec-to-rec firm McCall has appointed Brendan Devlin and Matthew Warnett as consultants. Steve Judd joins to manage its European operations under the McCall International brand. Hayley Edwards has been appointed as resourcer.

Professional and financial services executive recruiter Hamilton Caine has made a number of appointments. Barnaby Campbell has joined the corporate and commercial banking desk in London. David Thomas has been appointed to the private banking and wealth management division. Ben Hardy-Gillings joins the public practice division.

Cheshire-based financial recruitment agency Adele Carr Financial Recruitment has appointed Helen Aldridge as director from Hays. Gareth Boyd joins as consultant. Hannah Watkins has also started as consultant at the Chester office.

Contract and permanent recruiter Atlan Resource Solutions has promoted Brian Swannell to director of public sector.


Oli May has joined Norwich-based recruiter Cocoabean as operations director.

First People Solutions Group (FPSG) has made a number of appointments. The banking and financial services division in FPSG’s Glasgow office has appointed Nadim Shema as senior consultant. Emma Straiton (left) joins as recruitment consultant and has started as a training co-ordinator. Debbie Wilsonhas joined the call centre team in Glasgow as divisional manager. James Hardy has been appointed as group managing consultant for the banking and financial services and sales and marketing divisions in FPSG’s Manchester office. Simon Cannon joins as managing consultant of the new call centre team. Guy Riaz has started in the London office.

Dave McCartney has joined general recruiter Nigel Wright as consultant in its consumer products division.

Dawn Aindow has been appointed as operations manager for the TEC Group (technical engineering construction) for the south of England.

Martin Gray, has been appointed to head Interim Partners’ new London office covering media, and the travel and leisure practice. James Harley-Booth joins as head of the private equity practice.


Capita Resourcing has appointed Mark Atkinson as sales & delivery manager for the private sector.

Onker Singh, has been appointed to head Darwin Rhodes’ new Glasgow office following its acquisition of Beck Cowan, a specialist accountancy and finance recruiter. Singh was previously owner of Beck Cowan.

Mid-Wales recruiter Rainbow Recruitment has appointed Karl Grant (left) as recruitment consultant and Linda Jamieson (right) as recruitment administrator at its head office in Welshpool.

Anne Esler has joined Harvey Nash as director to launch the company’s new marketing services practice. Esler will focus on the branding, advertising, customer insight, direct marketing, digital, internal communications and media sectors.

David Bowen has joined Now Accountancy as permanent consultant in its Cardiff office.
