Latest appointments for week of 20-24 March 2017

• Lebanon-based developer of programmatic job advertising technology Appcast has appointed Chris Cummins as chief revenue officer.

Cummins is responsible for sales, marketing and account management, driving Appcast’s growth and overseeing the company’s client portfolio and work with resellers, alliances and partnerships.

• Management-level staffing specialist Cast UK has appointed Ben Oliver Campbell as principal consultant within its procurement team focusing on interim procurement roles within manufacturing, engineering, professional services, public sector, pharma and energy sectors.

He is joined by Charlie Lambert in the firm’s retail team focusing on buying, merchandising and design roles across London and the South-East, and Ben Smith, who will focus on contract and interim business change and transformation roles for retail and FMCG sectors.

Meanwhile, Rowan Kimmins has been promoted to business support executive from apprentice. They are all be based in Manchester.

• Bury St Edmunds-based Compass Point Recruitment has appointed Beverley Gedge as its new operations director.

Gedge will be taking over operational activities from managing director Rebecca Thurlow, who has been the figurehead of the business since its launch in 1995, working with a team of seven recruitment managers covering sectors including sales & marketing, secretarial, PAs and administration, engineering, industrial, accountancy and HR.

• Mike Hill has announced that he will retire from charity Higher Education Careers Services Unit (HECSU) and its subsidiary Graduate Prospects in the late summer after 17 years as the CEO.

He is initially succeeded by current deputy CEO Jayne Rowley, who takes the role of acting CEO for at least a year from 1 July.

• Global mobility firm MOVE Guides has appointed Todd Wilms as vice president of marketing.

Wilms’ background is in digital marketing and communications, having held marketing leadership roles for technology companies including Verisign, Neustar and SAP.

• Business and technology recruiter ReThink Recruitment has welcomed a number of new recruits.

These include head of client relationship management James Gamble, lead consultant David McCreadie and consultants James Chandler and Penny Dyer in Birmingham and analytics specialist Josh Winterson in its Bristol office and senior resourcer Sigourney Davies and Shirin Farsi in a permanent cyber security role in Manchester.  

The group has also promoted Ross Markall to team leader and Aled Pugh to recruitment consultant in Manchester and Becky Dyer to technology specialist in Birmingham.

In Bristol, Chris Walker is promoted to head of practice within ReThink’s healthcare recruitment team. In London, Adam Manson, Joe Osgood, and Dom Hilleard are promoted to new head of practice roles, with Amy Harrison and Paul Glover promoted to recruitment consultant and senior recruitment consultant respectively.

• Life sciences executive search firm RSA Group has appointed Andy Smith as a consultant in Singapore.

Most recently a director at a boutique search firm Olmec Search in Singapore, Smith has also served as an in-house search consultant at global pharmaceutical company AbbVie.

Smith is returning to the group after four years away, having previously been RSA’s vice president for Singapore.

• London-based technology, broadcast media and telecoms recruiter Vine Resources has appointed Dean Kelly as sales director.

Kelly, previously an associate at recruitment training provider Zero Entropy Networks, will manage Vine’s recruitment team, overseeing sales strategy and driving business growth through identifying and securing new clients and roles.
