Warehouse company in the East Bay is seeking a HR Manager to join their team. Candidate must have 5+ years of experience with management experience in an HR department, preferably with a strong background as a HR Generalist. Candidate will have responsibilities in benefits, labor law compliance in multiple states, updating employee handbooks, and employee relations management. Candidate must be able to work independently and recognize changes in priorities on a daily basis. Experience in ADP plus, advanced skills in Excel required.

  • Benefits (Benefit enrollment, Cobra, etc)
  • Assist as a backup for Payroll when necessary
  • Utilize in depth knowledge and experience in labor laws compliance in multiple states
  • Update and implement employee handbooks as needed
  • Analyze the company in analytical work such as onboarding training, exit interviews, and analyze turnover reasons
  • Must be able to work independently as a self starter but also have the ability to work as a team
  • Employee Relations and termination processes


  • Bachelor's Degree required in HR, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in HR/Senior Management
  • Master's degree highly preferred
  • SHRM/HRM Certificates highly preferred
  • Must have in depth understanding of HR needs such as Labor Law compliance, employee relations management, and salary budget management
  • Must be a self starter that can work independently
  • ADP highly preferred
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required
