Role overview

The Senior Resource Manager will be responsible for leading the operational model for individual assignment business in the UK financial services sector.

Within the UK financial services sector, we have a dynamic individual assignment business providing skilled resources to clients on a resource augmentation basis, primarily in the data and analytics space. It is recognised that the dynamic and fast moving nature of this business requires specific skillsets to enhance and sustain an effective service offering that meets the needs of the clients and our people.

The Senior Resource Manager is a senior management role and the successful candidate will be part of the UK Consulting leadership team with a clear remit to make a step change in our capabilities in this area.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the formulation and execution of an effective operational model for an individual assignments / resource augmentation business, primarily within data and analytics.
  • Shape and drive the go to market strategy for individual assignment consulting in the UK Financial Services business and the broader UK consulting approach
  • Identify and co–ordinate individual assignment consulting led engagement opportunities
  • Inform and guide the development of compelling 'service led' propositions within the individual assignment / D&A domain relevant to target sector
  • Define and drive the realisation of individual assignment consulting related revenues and margins within the financial services sector and key accounts
  • Inform and guide our account engagement strategies for individual assignments
  • Lead the individual assignment consulting community and foster effective collaboration, knowledge sharing, training and personal growth
  • identify and participate in market networks and events that give us a 'market voice'
  • Establish value add relationships with key client stakeholders

Essential skills

  • Experience of positioning and running an effective individual assignment operational model
  • Client facing consulting experience in a recognised consulting business and/or service delivery role
  • Service or operational management
  • Insight into how to successfully manage the fast paced operational dynamics of an individual assignment model
  • Experience of lead individual assignment consulting services, preferably with experience of the current data and analytics skills market
  • Experience of managing challenges associated with establishing the right culture and career development pathways for the individuals who work within such a business model.
  • Ability to define business operating strategies and solutions, and the benefits these deliver.
  • Experience of team building, staff support and development including coaching/mentoring
