Reporting into a Category Manager the Procurement Sourcing Specialist will ensure that the procurement of all Non Stock products and services adheres to Burberry policy in a timely and efficient manner. Delivering excellence in Procurement through timely and accurate service to the Category Manager and business stakeholders. The overall job purpose for this role is to:

  • Provide analysis on suppliers, markets and RFP's
  • Execute Cost Modelling
  • Provide support in the set–up and execution of e–Sourcing events within Ariba
  • Provide ad–hoc and new reports


  • Analyse category and review supply market
  • Support development of sourcing wave strategy
  • Provide spend data analysis
  • Create initial supply market assessment including:
  • Support Category Manager in development of Sourcing Strategy
  • Establish and execute e–sourcing events including:
  • Receive and validate e–sourcing requests
  • Recommend auction strategies to category managers based on supplier's history/behaviourManage e–Auction events including:
  • Engage and train the suppliers in the e–Sourcing event execution
  • Support in conduct the live events
  • Place surrogate bids if required
  • Monitor supplier behaviour/ communicate with suppliers / follow up on functional & technical issues

Manage contract maintenance & supplier performance & relationship management including:

  • Support post–tender contract execution and service implementation
  • Work with Category Management to perform contract management support activities in Ariba, obtains, verify and upload executed contracts into Ariba on a timely basis
  • Sets up and manages contract management system alerts in Ariba
  • Consulting Category Management / Source to Contract Manager to get guidance on contract management activities as needed
  • Identifies and supports pursuit of continuous improvement opportunities
  • Support the development of supplier performance scorecards and any subsequent improvement goals

Analytics SupportGeneral

  • Assist in driving compliance by ensuring that Commercial Procurement policies, procedures and methodologies are being followed


  • Degree level or equivalent
  • Experience in Operational Procurement or strategic sourcing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to inspire trust and confidence
  • Knowledge of SAP an advantage
  • High level of competence in MS Office products (Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of e–sourcing solutions an advantage (preferably Ariba)
