East Midlands hospitals hold recruitment open days

Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (KGH) and hospitals in Leicester are holding recruitment open days in May.

KGH is hosting an open day later this month at Kettering Conference Centre.

The Trust revealed in a statement it is recruiting for a range of clinical and non-clinical roles, including registered nurses, midwives, doctors and consultants, as well as administrative, managerial and clerical roles.

The event, to be held on 18 May at Kettering Conference Centre, will be a chance for doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals to find out what it is like to work or volunteer at KGH, to learn more about different departments and talk to the staff about the career opportunities available.

KGH is recruiting band 5 registered nurses to work in accident & emergency, paediatrics and ophthalmology, as well as general nurses, a clinical nurse manager and bank nurses. There are also opportunities for international nurses who want to return to practice and internationally educated nurses who want to become registered nurses in the UK, as well as vacancies for a specialist doctor in haematology, a consultant haematologist, radiologists and a consultant anaesthetist.

Additionally, there are health professional vacancies for a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, radiographer, assistant practitioner and healthcare assistant.

Meanwhile Leicester’s Hospitals are hosting a recruitment open day at Leicester Royal Infirmary on Saturday 11 May to showcase available roles for qualified nurses and operating department practitioners in their hospitals.

Candidates will be able to meet experienced staff from different specialities and get an inside look at how it feels to be part of the team and hear about the training and support available for new recruits. They can also tour the theatres, experience simulations and have an interview for one of the vacancies, while conditional job offers will be given to suitable candidates.
