Role Summary:Lead fulfilment activities for UK Services business covering purchased materials and services.
Ensure material delivery w/o disruption to shop and 95% + OTD
Analyse / develop procurement strategy for UK Services
Drive systematic process improvements, productivity & simplification
Support supplier lead time reduction
Actively support supplier forecasting efforts, lean event at suppliers & other initiatives
Manage & resolve escalations and provide timely updates on issues raised by Operations
Essential Responsibilities:Place and follow-up on POs.
Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
Manage problems and schedule changes.
Update ERP. Negotiate the best commercial and technical package for procurement requirements.
Work with allocated key suppliers to improve On Time Delivery and Quality statistics to target levels.
Communicates across direct organization.
Presents to senior leaders (EB and SEB) in specific purchasing space and on cross functional teams on how purchasing contributes to overall strategy.
Assists in the continuous development of the Procurement function towards best practice.
Identify and deliver value-adding opportunities from the supply chain.
Advises Functional managers or other Functions regarding approaches, processes and procedures in the own field.
Has a role as a project leader of medium sized projects or is a major contributor to bigger projects.
Co-ordinate with Buyers drive priorities/resolution on commits
Closely monitor supplier performance and work with suppliers to manage any required recovery plans/actions
Apply sourcing policy
Comprehensive in-depth understanding of sourcing concepts and principles
Strong knowledge of purchasing concepts in order to help drive supplier performance.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with proven years of experience in Sourcing). Additional years of experience in Buying/Procurement.
Desired Characteristics:Broad understanding and working experience with a variety of technologies (machining, castings, fabrication, electrical, assembly... etc) Strong oral and written communication skills.
Significant Sourcing / Supply Chain experience and professional working experience (Minimum 5 years)
Working in a fast pace - short-cycle business environment and industry
Excellent interpersonal & motivational skills
Ability to work horizontally across different business processes, functions and geographies
Good analytical capability, master of and MS Excel/Access
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problem
Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, leadership and negotiation skills
Strong customer mind set
Knowledge of Oracle ERP
Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
