• Multi-sector recruiter Ascendant has promoted David Forbes from divisional manager to operations manager for both the Milton Keynes and Northampton offices.

• Healthcare recruiter Athona has appointed Jackie Cloake as business manager for AHP (allied health professionals) and international appointments.

With more than 23 years’ healthcare recruitment experience, Cloake was most recently a recruitment business partner for Central London Community NHS Trust.

• Recruitment franchise Driver Hire welcomes Marc Harrison as the new owner of its Carlisle office. Previously, Harrison was a member of Driver Hire’s head office franchise support team.

• Global executive search and consulting business Eames Partnership has appointed Peter Jackson as partner, focusing on providing executive search and consulting services to the senior technology, operations and change markets.

Etonwood, a staffing specialist recruiting infrastructure technologists within financial markets, has appointed Ash Holmes as operations director.

• IT infrastructure specialist recruitment consultancy Franklin Fitch has welcomed Alex Garst as a principal consultant in its Frankfurt team, Germany.

• Executive search firm Green Park has appointed Nick Scott as director within its retail and consumer practice.

He joins from retail giant Tesco’s executive appointments programme, where he supported its executive committee and international management teams in their bid to transform Tesco’s leadership and culture.

• Multi-sector recruiter Meridian Business Support has promoted Derek Skelton, managing director of its industrial division, to CEO.

Before joining Meridian in January, Skelton was MD of industrial recruiter PMP for more than 25 years. He will be based in the company’s Milton Keynes office.

Therese Liddle, CEO of Newcastle-headquartered recruiter NRG, has succeeded David Cliff, MD of business consultancy and coaching business Gedanken, as the Institute of Directors’ vice-chairman for the North-East.

• International executive search firm Pedersen & Partners welcomes Brant Burke as principal in its Asia Pacific industrial practice group, based in Hong Kong.

• Sports, media and entertainment staffing specialist SRi has welcomed Ashling O’Connor as a partner to lead its media, content and digital practice in EMEA.

O'Connor will work closely with fellow partners in the US and Asia on senior-level international assignments.

• Recruitment technology business Volcanic has appointed three new members to the team to meet increasing demand for its GDPR-compliant websites.

Tom Ross, former national sales manager at recruitment marketing company 4MAT, joins as enterprise sales director. Matt Roberts joins the team as sales consultant from job board CareerBuilder and sales executive Dan Jarvis joins from recruitment consultants Sewell Wallis.
