Vertical Recruitment is an award-winning company with lots of ambition and we are keen to find someone who is looking to grow and develop with us.

We are looking to appoint a Senior or Recruitment Consultant to work within our highly successful Construction Division. The role is working on both permanent and contract vacancies for both production and commercial site-based staff for main-contractors, sub-contractors and fit-out companies

Working with our established team working with warm clients and an existing database of candidates.

The individual we are looking for will have at least 2 years' experience ideally working within the Construction industry

We see this appointment as a developing role within the company and we would expect the successful candidate to progress to either Senior or Principal Recruitment Consultant status within 12-18 months.

The role and responsibilities will include the following:

Screening candidates and matching them to suitable job roles
Searching our database and exploring employment opportunities with candidates
Searching job boards and writing ads for each role you are recruiting for
Conducting face to face candidate interviews
Taking candidate references
Business development
Attending Client meetings and networking events
Establishing contacts to help build the client database
General day-to-day administration tasks.

What are we looking for?

A Sales biased individual who can demonstrate success in the Recruitment industry, a good level of intellect with a mind-set of being a high achiever.

You must be highly driven, motivated and professional. We have a relaxed but professional atmosphere and want the right person who can fit in with our team while also driving to become a top performing Consultant.

Candidates must have the following:

A strong work-ethic
Familiarity with Microsoft office
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work on your own initiative and follow instructions clearly
Works well under pressure
Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask
Ability to interact positively at all levels within the company
Recent knowledge of working in a similar recruitment role within a professional working environment but this is not essential
