Our client based on the outskirts of Midsomer Norton are looking for a Sourcing Coordinator to join their team.

The Sourcing Coordinator works within the Finished Goods team, assisting day-to-day activities in this area. In particular, the Sourcing Coordinator may be responsible for certain projects given at adhoc times, according to the needs of the department. Current catergories include Leather Goods (Bags, SLGs), Ready to Wear, Footwear, Jewellery, Eyewear.

Responsibilities:
-Day to day running of given production categories, from purchase ordering through to delivery to warehouse/point of dispatch. Taking full ownersip of the critical path, monitoring all aspects of the production process, ensuring:
*materials arrive on time for production
*styles are signed off and ready pre production
*production is made in a timely manner
*shipments are made on time and in full
-Work with the Raw Materials Purchasing team to understand and action excess stock levels monthly and seek opportunities for re-sale to external suppliers/third parties.
-Work with internal stakeholders (Product Management, Quality, Planning) to coordinate any non main range requests - off price, special requests etc.
-Become a team coordinator in the implementation of the Supply Chain system (TXT) for the Sourcing team.
-Create and update reports on (not limited to):
*Excess material utilisation - monthly
*Delivery Status - weekly
*Any other related KPI reports as required
-Be the main point of contact for covering sickness/holiday in the Sourcing department.
-Adhoc work as directed by other members of the Sourcing team especially in busy periods, e.g. stock take, project work.

Skills and knowledge:
-Experience in a purchasing environment, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
-An advanced level using Microsoft Excel and Reporting Systems, such as Business Objects.
-Strong analytical and numerical skills.
-Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
-Good attention to detail.
