A Sourcing Specialist is required for a leading property management company in the heart of London's business district, the City, based on site with a financial service client. You will be working on site with a global leading bank, and you will be responsible for creating and delivering the client's annual sourcing plan. This well-known organisation are a leader in their field and operate across a global scope. Sitting in the procurement function in this role will give you the opportunity to work on one of the company's key accounts.
Your new role
As the Sourcing Specialist you will undertake the sourcing activities of key services across the facilities related to soft services across a multi-million spend portfolio. You will be positively liaising with the organisations central Supply Chain team, as well as subject matter experts in this field in order to strategise and present the sourcing plan to the client, who you will be interacting with on a daily basis. Not only will you be sourcing new suppliers, but you will also be managing the on-going contracts you have in place with existing suppliers and getting the most effective activity out of those suppliers. This will involve soft category services such as catering, cleaning, security, office maintenance.
What you'll need to succeed
As the Sourcing Specialist, you will have proven experience within strategic sourcing, and category management. You will be able to demonstrate clear and concise communication skills, and the ability to liaise with very senior and international stakeholders. You will be a proven negotiator and be able to show key commercial benefits that you have put in place within vendor contract. You will also be very analytical in order to interpret spend data in order to put the strategy plans in place. As this role could develop into a people management role, you should show previous people management experience, or a strong ability to pick this up if required.
