Information security recruitment specialists salaries on rise

Salary levels among information security recruitment specialists are on the rise once more, according to new findings from Acumin Consulting.

Salary levels among information security recruitment specialists are on the rise once more, according to new findings from Acumin Consulting.

The research reveals that larger management consultancies now pay up to £40k for an entry-level consultant with an MSc, and CLAS consultants have seen a £15k increase over the past six months, with anticipated earnings reaching £85k.

The Information Security Recruitment Index previously published in March 2010 indicated that, while the number of job vacancies had risen, pay had not matched this trend.

Chris Batten, managing director, Acumin Consulting, says:  “In both consulting and large end-user environments, we have witnessed an undeniable increase in salaries over the past quarter.  While employers would have historically waited to find the right person at a lower salary, they are now prepared to increase pay to hire the right people sooner.”
