1.Provide the organisation with a broad range of interventions and services to drive and continuously improve resourcing, recruitment and business performance.
2.Lead a transformation in how Network Rail identifies, nurtures, engages, attracts, selects, inducts and supports graduates and apprentices across the life cycle of the products / schemes we offer.
3.Sponsor, influence, coach and, as required, manage suppliers and collaborative cross-functional scheme managers to deliver a consistent seamless participant experience that achieves the product specification standards across all schemes.
4.Own the relationship with university, UTC and other education providers to target spend and activity.
5.Lead and co-ordinate the forecasting of demand for graduate and apprentice talent pipelines to enable business success in the long term with the organisational capability and strategic workforce planning lead.
6.Agree recruitment and selection targets with business areas and suppliers and monitor delivery against them to deliver agreed and defined benefits.
7.Establish and manage appropriate programme governance, progress reporting benefits realisation.
8.Manage project budgets within agreed targets.
9.Act as an intelligent client to strategic partners and other suppliers, analysing, specifying and evaluating service offers and focusing on continuous improvement.

Essential
*Significant experience of managing the delivery of recruitment services ideally from an in-house environment or an RPO or a recruitment agency.
*Experience in leading recruitment for high volume graduate and/or apprentice programmes.
*Experience of direct sourcing tools (such as LinkedIn, talent pooling and relevant job boards).
*Understanding of selection tools and techniques and managing the end to end recruitment process.
*Experience of working across education providers and an understanding of how to target key student demographics.
*Experience of applying programme / project methodologies in business and people change projects
*Commercial and financial awareness.
*Experience and detailed knowledge and understanding of the current and emerging graduate and apprenticeships agenda.

Desirable
*Understanding of the external apprenticeship landscape.
