Job
The role of a recruitment consultant within Corepeople is extremely varied and multi-faceted. Specifically, you will specialise in the provision of professionals or skilled tradespeople and plant operatives to contractors and subcontractors in the Civil Engineering, Building or Housing sectors throughout the North East, Cumbria or Yorkshire.
Recruitment consultants are responsible for developing business with new and existing clients, seeking to add value to, and profit from, filling vacancies to varying lead times with suitably skilled workers.
To do this successfully, the consultant must be part salesperson, part influencer, part negotiator and part facilitator, as well as providing the highest standard service, all rolled into one. First rate time management skills are imperative. As such, few careers offer the autonomy, variety and sense of ownership experienced in recruitment.
Required to work in a very demanding environment, successful applicants must possess high levels of commitment, resilience and dedication. Consequently we look for strong-willed and confident individuals who have personality and charisma in abundance.

Experience, Skills & Background
A successful recruitment consultant is driven, self-motivated and competitive, whilst enjoying participating in and contributing to the daily work environment around them.
Operating in a business to business sales environment where personal attributes are at least as important as qualifications or previous experience, successful applicants demonstrate a capacity for hard work and independent thought, the ability to influence, and an aptitude for pursuing opportunities and ultimately, to profit from them.
Remuneration
New consultants can expect to join us with a minimum basic salary of ??18,500 per annum - although this is negotiable dependent upon previous experience and earnings - and can expect on target earnings of between ??25,000 and ??30,000 in their first year.
Additionally, all of our colleagues receive generous benefits, with profit share, private health, permanent health insurance and death in service cover coming as standard. If you can demonstrate appropriate experience you can expect to benefit from an industry-leading rewards package considerably in excess of this.
