Our client is regarded as one of the most recognisable and trusted decorating and DIY retail brands in Central London selling paint, tools, ironmongery and accessories throughout its 21 stores in Central London.

Our client team of over 200 people, pride themselves on high levels of customer service, maintaining long standing relationships and carrying a strong reputation with both trade professionals and DIY customers.

Our client has a network of 21 convenience-led and predominantly high street stores which are situated in some of London's most prominent locations including King's Road Chelsea, High Street Kensington, Shaftesbury Avenue, Victoria, Clerkenwell, and Notting Hill.

Due to their continued success they now require an experienced Resourcing / Talent Manager.

The Role

This fantastic opportunity is a fast-paced role where you will play a key part in developing and implementing the recruitment plan for our client and will support and develop hiring managers.

You will also play a large part in developing the recruitment methods and tools to further attract excellent candidates as well as build on and support the improvement of our clients reputation as being an employer of choice.

  • Develop and oversee the full recruitment lifecycle (including induction) ensuring a positive recruitment experience for all candidates
  • Work in partnership with business managers to research and design a consistent recruitment procedure
  • Creating and managing recruitment campaigns which attract a diverse pool of candidates
  • Proactive in approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work
  • Build excellent relationships with external recruitment agency/support partners
  • Champion best practice and provide sound advice to business managers on policies and procedures
  • Build and manage candidate pipelines
  • Streamline resourcing processes
  • Analyse management information to develop areas of focus
  • Act as point of contact for all resourcing issues and matters
  • Develop and deliver consistent brand and attraction channels including Social Media and professional networking platforms
  • Work with business managers & HR to develop robust induction programme and improve retention rates
  • Develop initiatives to raise Company profile in local communities / education sector
  • Work with HRD to develop and implement Apprenticeship Programme
  • Create and manage talent database plans to meet the long term resourcing needs of the business
  • Candidate background checking for key roles to ensure suitability of applicants

What Skills & Experience will you need to have?

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management and organisation
  • An experienced Resourcing Manager with exposure to high volume recruitment across all levels.
  • Direct Sourcing experience of using Professional external platforms and building Talent through professional networking in essential.
  • Stakeholder relationship management with experience of engaging across all levels.
  • Knowledge of behavioural / competency-based interviewing techniques and psychometric testing
  • Influencing and negotiation techniques
  • Full understanding of UK employment law
  • Experience of Applicant Tracking Systems, to track and report on multiple candidate pipelines would be preferable but not mandatory
  • Advanced university/post graduate degree in an HR related field is also desired but not essential
