CONTRACTS & DEALS: 7-10 MAY 2019

This week’s contracts and deals include: Approach Personnel, Capita, Elizabeth Michael Associates, HR GO Recruitment, iCIMS, Key Skills Education, Resume-Library, TempaGoGo

• Nottingham-based Elizabeth Michael Associates has been sold to construction, civil engineering, shopfitting, interiors, office and industrial recruiter Approach Personnel for an undisclosed seven-figure sum, with help from Fraser Brown Solicitors.

Approach Personnel, founded in 1991, recruits across administration, accountancy, customer services and contact centres, logistics, procurement, sales, business development and HR.

Fraser Brown corporate lawyer Tom Gray and assistant solicitor Hannah Raven advised John Hyde on the transaction. Roger Harcourt at Shakespeare Martineau solicitors and Trevor Witts at APC Accountants also acted on the transaction advising Approach Personnel.

• Crown Commercial Services, the government procurement agency, has awarded business outsourcing provider Capita a place on its new recruitment framework, covering candidate sourcing and processing for permanent positions across government departments.

Capita, alongside other providers, will provide permanent resourcing services including candidate search and assessment, shortlisting, interviews, pre-employment checks, onboarding and training. Executive search will be delivered via Capita’s Veredus brand under the agreement.

• Recruitment and business services provider HR GO Recruitment has won a contract to supply temporary agency workers to Ashford Borough Council for the next five years.

The roles cover all essential services such as cleaning, clerical, customer services, community safety, housekeeping, facilities, payments, planning and welfare.

The contract covers 19 different role and pay band categories, with specific jobs ranging from housekeeper to housing options officer, repairs assistant to revenues officer, customer service advisor to civil enforcement officer, administration assistant to arborist.

• US job board Resume-Library has integrated with partnership with talent acquisition solutions provider iCIMS. The partnership includes a feature Resume-Library profile in the iCIMS Marketplace online community.

• A £70k funding line has been secured by London-based education recruitment agency Key Skills Education from invoice finance specialist Gener8 Finance to enable Key Skills to expand its offering nationwide.

East London-based Key Skills was established in 2010, and places teachers and teaching assistants into schools and education centres across London and the home counties, on long-term and permanent placements.

TempaGoGo has raised £150k seed funding from unnamed angel investors to boost its expansion this year and expand its reach to clients and recruitment agencies. Launched in 2018, the online marketplace connects companies looking to hire temporary staff with recruitment agencies providing temporary candidates.
