Non-executive director and management buy-in resource specialist, First Flight, has appointed a non-executive director of its own — Cheshire-based headhunter, Ross Monro.

Non-executive director and management buy-in resource specialist,
First Flight, has appointed a non-executive director of its own —
Cheshire-based headhunter, Ross Monro.

Monro has 25 years’ experience of senior-level executive recruitment at
both consultant and director levels. He told Recruiter: “A good nonexecutive
director brings a wealth of knowledge and experience without
the overheads of a full-time director. This is particularly relevant for
businesses in today’s economic climate.”

Chris Spencer-Phillips, managing director of First Flight, which has
principal offices in Kent and central London, said: “Ross brings new skills
to First Flight which will help us grow our business and raise our profile.
I am very excited about Ross joining us and believe he will be instrumental
in broadening our activities.”


 

Andy Ball has joined interim management and executive recruiter Rockpools as a senior consultant focusing on local government interim management. Ball will be working out of the Manchester and London offices.

IT sales recruiter Aurum International has hired Marc Fryer as a consultant. Fryer will look after appointments for senior sales and marketing professionals in the infrastructure solutions and vendor space.

Kent-based Acorn Recruitment has appointed Jacqueline Heywood (right) as a recruitment consultant to lead its Tunbridge Wells office. The company supplies both temporary and permanent staff, specialising in accountancy, legal and general commercial recruitment.

Global executive search firm Boyden has named Ken Rich as managing director in its New York office. Joining the firm’s financial services practice, Rich will recruit in the financial and professional services and nonprofit sectors, as well as conduct searches for C-level, board of director and infrastructure positions across several industries.

Nicola O’Hara is to head up the Middlesbrough branch of commercial recruiter Jo Hand Recruitment as branch operations manager.

Dan Richards has been appointed as sales director of job board fish4jobs.co.uk. Richards will be responsible for the commercial development of the fish4jobs site and leading the jobs sales departments in both London and Leeds.

International executive search firm Ray & Berndtson has appointed Brigitte Simard as a partner in the firm’s Montreal office. Before joining Ray & Berndtson, Brigitte was senior executive director, responsible for customer relationship management with investor  services firm RBC Dexia andcomputer giant IBM.

Alexa Smith (left) joins rec-to-rec recruiter Aston Taylor in its St Albans office as a trainee consultant, Alice Cox (below right) has beenappointed as a support  administrator and the company has also promoted Melanie Hagger (below left) to office manager.

Crown & Marks Executive Search has named Jane Oakeshott and Lee Rochester as associate partners. Oakeshott joins the firm from Watermark Executive Search and will specialise in government, education and transport assignments.

Executive search firm CTPartners has taken on Alex Eymieu as a partner in the firm’s Hong Kong office. Eymieu was previouslymanaging partner of the Taiwan office for another, leading international executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles.

Karen Clements will re-join Stark Brooks, following maternity leave, as a part-time senior consultant in a client development role within the professional services sector.
