Lucy Walker Recruitment, an Award Winning Agency based in Leeds City Centre is looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our fantastic and successful team here in our gorgeous (with a hint of purple!) offices in the city centre!

Celebrating 26 years in business this year, it's no wonder we have such a successful brand and a superb team behind us and we are continually experiencing growth! Specialising in all office based roles of all levels, with salaries starting at entry level and above and across a multitude of sectors and industries across West Yorkshire, no day is ever the same!

We have a strong & focused team across our offices here in Leeds and in our Manchester office. The role

We place suitable candidates into suitable roles with our clients - simple, right? Well there's a lot more to it than that and no day is ever the same! The hard work begins on day 1, but it will be worth it for sure! You won't find a more rewarding career!

Candidates: Following on from writing and managing your own adverts you will screen and meet with candidates to assess their suitability for live roles that we're working on. You will match their skills and requirements to those of our clients, format and send CVs, arrange interviews and manage this process. There will also be an element of sourcing for the right candidates proactively on the job boards. Whether it's helping a graduate into their first steps of their career, or supporting someone with an exciting opportunity for career progression you will be responsible for the management of your candidates and ensuring they receive the best service possible and ultimately help find their dream job.

Building your desk: This is no mean fate - building your client base from the beginning is certainly a challenge and not for the faint hearted (but who doesn't love a challenge?!) however the rewards are endless and the sense of achievement will be second-to-none! You will treat your desk as your own business and watch it flourish! You will develop business from the thousands of clients already on our database and develop a 'hunter gatherer' attitude to follow up hot leads! You will also get 'out and about' and attend networking events, client visits, business pitches and support your colleagues with organising and being part of Lucy Walker Recruitment events including networking, drinks mixers and lunches.

Managing your Accounts: Strong relationships are key to the success of your desks. Providing high levels of service really does result in increase sales. Our aim is to always build 'trusted advisor status' with our clients, in doing so we believe we are able to create more opportunities for candidate that may have otherwise been overlooked for certain opportunities. Regular service reviews and asking as an extension to our clients businesses, is always our aim!

Earn Commission ASAP: While developing your desk is vital, you will be able to earn commission straight away, as here at Lucy Walker Recruitment we believe 'team work makes the dream work' and with a business model that means all consultants work together to match their candidates to all live roles you will have the opportunity to 'split fees' with your colleagues and start earning commission from the get-go! This is not a model used across all Consultancies so don't overlook this way of working - it's a great one & we know it works!

About you!

An experienced Recruitment Consultant is what we're looking for with the hunger to develop, learn, progress and earn a whole lot of commission! Commercial Recruitment experience would be desirable but this is not essential.

Other key skills, experience and qualities are below;

A desire to learn and achieve - this is something we can't teach so come ready and willing with your 'A Game'!

Be hardworking, dedicated and self-motivated. Good things do not come to those that wait!

Be personable, fun, original and work well in a team. It's all about the team work us but we want you to be you! Bring your own personality & put your own stamp on the role.

Superb organisational skills- with a busy work load, you'll need to know when to juggle what. Prioritisation is key!
