Resourcing & Development Advisor

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy well established HR department within an engineering and manufacturing environment. Candidates will need previous experience of end to end recruitment, be able to liaise and influence stakeholders and provide excellent customer service to all.

This is a initially a 3 month contract. Salary up to ??30k depending on experience.

Purpose

Support the Recruitment and Development activities across multiple sites across the UK.

Key Accountabilities:

Recruitment

* Provide professional support and advice on recruitment to line managers to include advising on best practice recruitment and selection techniques

* Increase management capability to a point where managers are capable of conducting interviews and making selection decisions without regular support from HR

* Focus on direct sourcing strategy to include evaluating, refining and developing our candidate attraction methods which include branding activities, advertising, referrals and networking

* Actively support the relationship between the company and agencies on the PSL to ensure we are attracting the right candidates in a cost effective way

* Screen applications, shortlist candidates, devise and implement selection processes, support interviews where appropriate, manage the offer and on boarding process

* Provide advice and support on recruitment related tools including job descriptions, person specifications and assessment tools

* Create and evaluate recruitment related communication, marketing and branding initiatives including job advertisements which are in line with the company's EVP and the requirements of the business and campaign

* Develop creative solutions to deliver on recruitment opportunities utilising the most appropriate route to market including direct sourcing

* Evaluate, refine and develop the strategy around improving the candidate experience to include the on boarding process ensuring we continuously strive to be an employer of choice

* Develop our approach to attracting Apprentices, Interns and Graduates

Development

* Support the HR Resourcing and Development Manager with development activities to include coordinating training activities

* Support the onboarding process for new candidates, and active involvement in inductions for employees and contractors/agency workers

This role will also include active involvement in continuous improvement activities and projects within Resourcing, Development and HR in order to improve processes and best practice

Person Specification:

Key Skills

* Previous experience of working in a Recruitment environment - either HR or agency based

* Skilled at prioritisation in a fast paced environment

* The ability to work across various sites serving a diverse customer group

* Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

* Knowledge of UK employment law relating to recruitment practice

Desirable Qualifications/Background

* Ability to demonstrate the key skills highlighted above

* Knowledge, experience or an active interest in manufacturing or engineering

* Experience working in an in-house or recruitment agency supporting a variety of customers
