Great recruiting is at the heart of our success.  As our Recruiting Manager you will build the recruiting strategy and materials, including forecasting models, to support ambitious company growth and help ensure year on year successful delivery of our wide ranging, high quality academic programmes in both the UK and abroad.  You will build relationships with subject departments, colleges, schools and find other opportunities to maintain an expanding recruiting pipeline. Managing and motivating a team, you will oversee a large selection and on-boarding operation and build recruiting policies and structure to support an ambitious 5 year plan, meeting safeguarding and safer recruiting obligations, and in line with our company policies and values.   

Main Duties

  • Define recruitment targets and plan and manage the recruitment plan
  • Create and maintain recruitment models to predict requirements based on forecasted sales
  • Develop and implement strategies enabling coherent contracts, maximising key recruitment opportunities and encouraging retention and the regular return of the best of our seasonal staff
  • Manage the recruitment pipeline through all stages
  • Develop high quality and effective recruiting materials and tools
  • Build and foster relationships to create strong networks
  • Hold interviews and oversee onboarding processes to make sure all staff are recruited and able to work in-line with HR, equal opportunities and safeguarding policies
  • Manage, lead and motivate a team, including its seasonal expansion

Practical details

  • £32k FTE + 10% Company Bonus scheme
  • Start: Immediate
  • Central Oxford location with flexible working possible; some travel required, including between London and Cambridge

Minimum requirements 

  • Recruiting and management experience in the education sector (5+ years)
  • An understanding of the UK education landscape
  • Highly personable with a strong work ethic; a team player with high standards
  • Initiative, tenacity, imagination, and proven planning skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • An ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with others
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced working environment meeting challenging targets

Desirable attributes

  • Experience in employment contracting of seasonal staff
  • A working knowledge of Salesforce and/or a willingness to learn company-specific programmes
