Jobs total nearly half of previous June

The Mandis/Adecco Job Creation Index showed a sizeable drop in the number of new jobs created across key industry sectors in June compared to June 2006. According to the report, there were 28,037 jobs created in June 2007 compared to nearly 49,000 in the same month 12 months ago. This amounted to a fall of 43%.
