Travelodge creates jobs in Romford and plans more hotels in Essex

Budget hotel brand Travelodge has created 25 new jobs through the opening of a second hotel in Romford.

The 65-room hotel is located in the heart of Romford town centre above The Quadrant shopping centre.

At the official hotel opening, Travelodge also announced the company was looking to expand its portfolio with a further 11 new hotels in Essex. Travelodge is looking for sites in the following locations: Basildon, Brentwood, Canvey Island, Chelmsford, Colchester, Epping, Grays Thurrock, Maldon, Rayleigh, Southend-on-Sea and Waltham Abbey.

The expansion programme will boost Travelodge’s portfolio to 25 hotels in Essex and create an additional 350 new jobs for the region.
