Meighan is new exec chair of VMA Group

Specialist PR and communication recruiter VMA Group has appointed Julia Meighan to the newly created role of executive chair.

Meighan will be responsible for leading the group’s international expansion, as well as special projects in talent management within the corporate communications sector. Meanwhile, Claire Tuffin has been promoted to group managing director and will take charge of the day-to-day running of the business.

The next development for the group is likely to be international expansion, according to the company. With offices in London, Manchester, Brussels and a partnership in Washington, VMA Group plans to look for opportunities overseas.

Eximius Operations has appointed Rebecca Lancelles to head up its new secretarial and support team in the division.

Procurement, supply chain and purchasing staffing specialist Langley Search and Selection has appointed Ross Pheby as their head of interim
practice. The former senior consultant for the firm’s interim practice now joins Langley’s management team.

Financial staffing specialist Grafton Banks Finance has appointed Emma Prior (top left) to head up a new interim division specialising in placing qualified accountants. Prior joins from Hays in Portsmouth, having worked in financial interim recruitment since graduating from the University of Portsmouth in 2007.

Multisector recruiter Quantum Recruitment has appointed Suzie Zengarini (left) and Lisa Mabey (right) as account managers. Mabey has 12 years’ HR and recruitment experience and will be looking after office clients, while Zengarini has 11 years’ experience in the hospitality sector, having worked with several hotel groups in the local area. She will recruit for hospitality roles.

International executive search firm Boyden has appointed Trina Gordon (left) as its new president and chief executive. Gordon previous served as chairman of the Boyden World Corporation board and managing director of the firm’s Chicago office in the US.

Multi-sector recruiter Sundial Resourcing has appointed Julie Rodman as healthcare divisional manager. The firm says Rodman’s appointment forms part of a planned expansion into new markets.

Oil & gas recruiter Infinity Resources International has appointed three new directors as part of a global expansion strategy. Martin Finnie (right) joins as chief executive and Debbie McFarlane (left) takes on the role of executive vicepresident business development. Alan Golightly (below right) previously a recruitment manager with a global oil & gas recruiter, has been appointed chief operating officer.

Senior travel recruitment specialist Gail Kenny Group has appointed Louise O’ Grady (below left) as account manager. O’ Grady joins from Whitbread where she managed corporate and leisure accounts for the company’s flagship brand Premier Inn. Previously she worked in digital media sales at Cheapflights.O’ Grady will recruit for both online and offline roles within the Gail Kenny Group, including the increasingly popular digital brand Puregenie.com.

Multi-sector recruiter career moves strengthened its team with new appointments. Lucy Peel (below right) joins as account manager for temps, while Kelly Howe (bottom left) has been promoted to head of career moves. Peel will job share with Sarah Savage, senior account manager for temps.

Longbridge Sales & Marketing, part of staffing group Initio International, has strengthened its team with new hires. Teri Godly joins as head of digital.

Recruitment-torecruitment firm Midas Rec2Rec has appointed Sean O’Brien (below right) as sales manager. O’Brien joins following four and a half years as managing consultant. He will be manage the sales team as well as supplying rec-to-rec services into the finance, procurement and legal sectors.
