APPOINTMENTS: 13-17 FEBRUARY 2023

• Global talent solutions firm AMS has promoted Jim Sykes to its executive team in the newly created role of global managing director, operations. He will lead on candidate sourcing, administration, contingent workforce solutions, and implementation and transformation. Sykes’s career at AMS spans 18 years and includes time spent leading client solutions in multiple sectors and managing AMS’s global sourcing capabilities.

• Bristol-based recruitment company Baltimore Consulting has promoted children’s services specialist Jade Hidderley as its divisional lead. Hidderley’s role will be to support divisional manager Leah Overend, who won Recruiter’s Investing in Talent Award for Most Inspiring Team Leader last month.

• Recruitment investment firm Bluestones Investment Group has appointed Matt Cody as its new investment CEO. Cody has been with the business for more than six years, leading its marketing team following decades of professional marketing experience across a wide range of industries and sectors.

Eames Group has appointed Kim Gray to its board as non-executive director. Gray has gained experience in financial services, technology and business consulting firms, together with her knowledge of setting up and chairing DE&I programmes at NTT DATA and BAE Systems Detica.

Heidrick & Struggles has added four consultants to its executive search business in the Americas. Joining its Bogota office are Willy Mayenberger as partner, and Claudia Acosta, Charlie Hall and Sonia Perdomo all appointed principals.

• Recruitment marketing specialists JVP Group has appointed Alan Townsend as managing director. A former executive VP of EU business operations at Monster Worldwide and MD of TMP Worldwide Ireland, Townsend has over 20 years’ experience within the online job advertising and employer brand marketing industry. He will primarily focus on accelerating the business growth whilst taking responsibility of business operations, sales, marketing, and HR.

• Professional services recruitment firm Sellick Partnership has promoted Adam Burgess to senior manager. Burgess will head up the Newcastle team and will cover the finance and accountancy and ICT and digital technology specialisms across the public and private sectors.

Unseen Group, a collective of early talent and employability businesses, has appointed James Webb as chief commercial officer. Webb was formerly managing director of recruitment firm Propel. He joins Dee Murphy, organisational psychologist and former head of people at Propel, who takes the role of chief operations officer.
