Latest appointments for week of 27-31 March 2017

• Global executive search firm Alexander Hughes has appointed Jean-Marie Malterre as client partner in its Paris office. Malterre was previously a senior partner at search firm OP Search.

• Oxfordshire-based recruiter Allen Associates has launched a new candidate resourcing team. The team is made up of Ben Horne, Kyran Pritchard, Marta Maroto Bueno and Nisha Khan.

The firm has also recruited Jane Digby to the newly-created role of marketing and business development manager.

• Global talent mapping and pipelining specialist Armstrong Craven has appointed Indrani Karthic and Mark Lim as talent partners.

Armstrong Craven’s APAC office works with clients in Singapore, Hong Kong, Greater China, Australia and New Zealand, Japan and South-East Asia. Both positions are based in Singapore.

• Change consultancy BIE Executive has welcomed back Alastair Lechler as director, business transformation. Lechler returns after stints with another interim provider WBMS and his own digital start-up.

In his new role, Lechler will be working with FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies to support their talent management requirements, as they implement large-scale, complex transformation programmes.

• Networking, systems infrastructure and security recruiter Franklin Fitch welcomes graduate Charlotte Drury as a junior recruitment consultant in its UK team.

Franklin Fitch also has an office in Frankfurt in Germany.

• Global executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles has appointed Ian Johnston as managing partner, culture shaping, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Johnston has been a senior leader of culture shaping in the European region for the past 15 years, most recently serving as partner at H&S.

• Global executive search firm Korn Ferry has appointed Mark Arian as CEO of Hay Group. Arian succeeds Steve Kaye, who steps down as CEO at the end of Korn Ferry’s financial year.

Korn Ferry says the move follows the integration of Hay Group, which is now largely complete following its acquisition in September 2015. Arian was most recently a partner at professional services firm Ernst & Young and has held leadership positions at consultancies Hewitt Associates, Towers Perrin (now Willis Towers Watson) and AON.

• Interim management provider Odgers Interim has appointed Rebecca Brandwood as consultant. Brandwood will work with the higher education sector to place interim candidates into mid-management roles across all corporate functions including HR, marketing, student recruitment, finance, IT and facilities.

In addition, Brandwook will oversee project resource for change programmes and workforce transformation, and also look after executive, board and senior management team appointments in the employment support space.

• Teacher agency PK Education has appointed Ricky Sander as recruitment consultant. Specialising in secondary education, Sander will be responsible for matching teachers, cover supervisors and teaching assistants to temporary job opportunities at schools throughout Coventry and Warwickshire – a new geographical area for the agency.

• Industrial and manufacturing staffing specialist PMP Recruitment, part of the Cordant Group, has appointed Phil Kennerley and Kieron Marno as account directors.

Kennerley, a former product business lead at recruitment group Impellam and divisional director for Blue Arrow Managed Services, will be responsible for several of PMP Recruitment's key accounts and more than 30 sites across 15 clients, while Marno, a former account director at nationwide recruiter Staffline, will be responsible for the firm's managed services business in the North-West region.

• Teeside-based recruiter Techconsult UK has promoted Ashleigh Yeoman to recruitment consultant, while Louis Cargan joins as a recruitment administration apprentice.

Techconsult specialises in finding professionals for the process and petrochemical, oil & gas, renewable, subsea, science and civil engineering sectors.

Manchester opening for Fruition IT heralds start of growth phase

Following a significant investment in November 2023, Leeds-based recruitment company Fruition IT and sister company Fruition Consulting have opened a new office.
